Kalika Rejoins Eagles Friday in US

Super Eagles assistant coach, Simon Kalika will join the Home Eagles in US on Friday as they get set for the Green Bowl Soccer tournament scheduled to kick-off on Saturday.
A very reliable source in the team revealed that Kalika who was part of Nigeria’s team to the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China, has been in touch with coach Samson Siasia and felt excited over the vias issued to 22 players for the Obama Cup.

“We have been told that Kalika will join the team in the USA by Thursday or Friday because he left for Holland when the chief coach was about closing the camp few weeks back,” says the source.

Meanwhile, Nigeria will battle the likes of Costa Rica, Mexico and panama when the tournament kicks off in the USA this weekend.Players that made the list include, Chigozie Aghim, Sunday Rotimi, Valentine Nwabili, Yinka Adedeji, Abdul -Wasiu Sowemimo, Gege Soriola, Chibuzor Okonkwo, Yusuf Jaiyeola and Julius Ubido.

Others are Cletus Itodo, Bartholomew Ibenegbu, Stanley Okoronkwo, Osas Okoro, Ejike Uzoenyi, Joseph Thompson,. Ekigho Ehiosun, Gambo Mohammed, Victor Ezeji, Harisson Egbune and Bernard Okorowanta.

The team will depart Nigerian on Wednesday aboard a Delta Airline flight from the Murtala Mohammed Airport, Ikeja, Lagos.
