Nigeria's I.B.O. Latin American middleweight champion, Eromosele Albert will take on Cuban born Lester Gonzalez in a 10 round bout on Friday at the Magic City Casino in New Orleans USA for a possible shot at a world championship.
Having notched up big wins over former world champion Yory Boy Campas and Daniel Edouard, "Bad boy" Eromosele who competed for Nigeria at the Sydney 2000 Olympics in the 75kg category recorded only one defeat in the 28 bouts he has fought with 11 of his 23 wins coming in knockouts and four draws.
His opponent isn't afraid to trade either. Lester Gonzalez (11-2-1, 6 KOs) is a southpaw who will go toe-to-toe with anybody. His 2009 draw with Juan Camilo Novoa, which was eight rounds of heavy exchanges, was Telemundo's fight of the year. He also holds a big win over highly regarded Ibrahim King, and his two losses have come against top prospects Brandon Gonzales, and Chris Chatman.
Gonzalez was also a decorated amateur winning three international medals, and the Golden Gloves in 2004. He now looks to win his first title as a professional prizefighter.
