EAGLES, ETHIOPIA CLASH: VENUE NOT CONFIRMED YET

Tuesday, February 15, 2011

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will take a decision on where the Super Eagles will play the African Nations Cup match against Ethiopia on March 27, when the executive committee meets next week.

NFF President, Alhaji Aminu maigari said that Abuja and Kaduna are on the card to host the match but no decision has been taken adding that the board will consider the advantages and otherwise of the two venues before arriving at a decision.

According to Maigari, the NFF will also carry along the views of the coaches and the players in picking a venue for the match pointing out that the idea to play matches across the country was to allow Nigerians see their national teams live but added that that will not be at the expense of winning the games.

“We shall communicate to CAF where the match would be played as soon as we arrive at a decision next week but for now, the match has no venue but Abuja and Kaduna are on the card to host” he concluded
