
Super Eagles goalkeeper coach, Ike Shorunmu has clearly stated that he is yet to sign his contract with the Nigerian Football Federation but admitted that he his has seen the papers.
The former FC Sion of Switzerland safe pair of hands told the media shortly before the team’s departure for the Green Bowl Tournament in America that he is waiting for the NFF president, Alhaji Aminu Maigari to sign the dotted line before he does.
“I have not signed yet but I have seen a copy of my contract papers and I’m satisfied with it. I’m waiting for the NFF President Alhaji Aminu Maigari to return from his trip to Sudan to sign his part before I do too.” Ike Anobi as he’s fondly called revealed.
Shorunmu who has already had spell with the Eagles, working with former coaches, Berti Vogts and Austin Eguavoen however keep mute over the choice of venue for the team’s must win qualifier against Ethiopia on March 27 but called on Nigerians to fully support the new team still in its budding phase.
“I’m not in the position to talk on that issue but all I’d say it Nigerians should get behind the team which is still in the budding phase. We need them to support the team fully and not otherwise he said.
