Karabukspor President, Feridun Tankut has clearly stated that the club will be offering their Nigerian import, Emmanuel Emenike a three year extension to his current contract to ward off suitors jostling for the signature of the power playing forward.

Tankut revealed to a Turkish website that though they have received lots of proposals for the injured striker who has notched up 13 goals in 19 appearances for the club, they are prepared to keep their most prized asset.

“We have received numerous offers from the circuit but the players have managed to stop. As president of this club, we will be offering him a three years contract due to what we discussed. We want Emenike to stay with us,” Tankut said

"Everyone knows as a professional in this world, none of us know in advance what will be at the end of the season. Maybe our attractive offers to him might not suit him or maybe there’s an offer that can’t resist then as President of this club, we will decide that then,” he said.

The Otuocha-born striker who remains a major doubt for the Super Eagles must win home clash against Ethiopia next month due to his torn ligament has been ruled him out for at least four weeks, the Turkish website further revealed.

His coach,Yucel Ildız however opined that his injury is a big loss to the club and they would be hoping his replacement step up to the plate in his absence.

“Emenike is an important weapon to us but we must not sit here and cry over this. He will be out for about six weeks and we must search for an alternative for his replacement because he is a power playing player for us.”

“He is that kind of a player that his strength in attack would be missed. For a certain period of time, he will not be with us. We will adopt a different alternative to strengthen his place in his absence, Yucel Ildız

It would be recalled that it took Super Eagles Coach, Samson Siasia a trans-Atlantic journey to Turkey in order to meet with Emenike to convince him to wear the Green and White colours of the senior national team of Nigeria.
