ADELEYE TO WEAR NO 3 JERSEY

247sportnaija can report today that SC Tavriya Simferopol latest signing Ayodele Adeleye will wear the number three jersey at his new club.

The Super Eagles defender who is currently with the national team preparing for the upcoming Africa Nations Cup qualifier against Madagascar and friendly match with Argentina this Sunday joined the club from Metallurg Donetsk on a three year deal for a reported fee of £2.5m.

"I love the number four jersey but I have no choice but to wear the jersey number vacant at the club," the lanky defender revealed.

His compatriot Sani Kaita has also been signed on a two-year deal by the fourth placed team in the Ukrainian league. The 25-year-old battling midfielder becomes the third Nigerian at the club.

Kaita was reported to have signed a three year deal with Belgium side Germinal Beerschot but the deal was cancelled by the club because he failed to obtain a work permit from the Belgian Embassy in Nigeria.

Both players featured for the Dream Team IV at the 2008 Beijing Olympic where the team won silver for the Samson Siasia led team.
